AT-HOME LEARNING/HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS:
· Math: See homework grid on back of newsletter
· Spelling: See home work grid on back of newsletter
· Bag Book Reading: We will meet at least four times per week.
· Read every night for at least 15 minutes, record your book titles in your agenda.
FOCUS FOR THIS WEEK:
Language Arts: Read “Henry and Mudge”
Vocabulary from text: love, mother, father, straight, bear, couldn’t, build
Word Wall Words: those, him, although, there, also
Math: Identify and count coins. Review the skills from week 3 and 4 and assess.
Writing: Continue Diamante Poems and Acrostic Poems
Science/Social Studies: Building communities within the classroom/Neighborhoods
IMPORTANT DATES:

September 30, 2010: Attraction book fundraiser ENDS

NEWS, NOTES, and REMINDERS:
- Please be sure to SIGN your child’s homework grid and behavior tracker/calendar each night! This lets us know that you are aware of your child’s homework assignments and behavior in class.
- Make sure that any books your child reads are written down on their reading log and sign their reading log.
- Starting September 13th, we will begin sending home addition facts that your children will need to memorize. Each Friday they will have a timed quiz on the facts assigned.
