AT-HOME LEARNING/HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS:
· Math: See homework grid on back of newsletter
· Spelling: See home work grid on back of newsletter
· Bag Book Reading: We will meet at least three times per week.
· Read every night for at least 15 minutes, record your book titles in your agenda.
FOCUS FOR THIS WEEK:
Language Arts: Read “Tara and Tiree”
Vocabulary from text: collar, slipped, brave, family, pull, listen, once, heard, break
Word Wall Words: pull, once, family, push, again
Math: Review plane shapes and work on combining shapes as well as identify draw and find congruent shapes. Review the skills from week 5 and 6 and assess student’s knowledge.
Writing: Proper Nouns, commands, exclamations
Science/Social Studies: Weather Unit

· FIELD TRIP MONEY – DUE OCTOBER 1, 2010 --$15.00
· Please be sure to SIGN your child’s homework grid and behavior tracker/calendar each night! This lets us know that you are aware of your child’s homework assignments and behavior in class.
· Make sure that any books your child reads are written down on their reading log and sign their reading log.
